Training description

We have created a simulation game to observe how you can improve process optimisation in your company. During 4 rounds of practical simulation, you will be able to test different strategies on how to boost motivation, enhance productivity and implement automation in business services/back office teams.

As a result of the workshop:
1. you will get a sense of how to easily and quickly use IT tools to support digital transformation and automation in companies and to support remote work management.

2. You will explore new opportunities to develop and stimulate employee engagement through modern methods of time measurement, task distribution and visualisation in remote working.

3. you will feel the power of building teams based on shared goals.

4. you will see how to standardise activities in a process to make automation and robotisation effective, fast and, most importantly, cheap.

5. you will complete the workshop with a concrete plan and structured ideas, and you will be able to implement the know-how gained in your organisation.

Target group

1. The workshop is dedicated to managers who are responsible for choosing the strategy, the method of implementation of process transformation, automation strategy, optimisation in the company.

2. The training is useful for managers who are responsible for creating a culture and management system that supports transformation in business services, operational functions.

3. Most often heads of operations centres, business heads, managers who are responsible for transformation areas and managers for automation and continuous improvement.

Training objective

• Learn and verify in practice strategies to increase employee involvement in improving performance, implementing improvements and standardising processes.
• Learn how to map factors influencing the effectiveness of change implementation (Change Energy Diamond).
• To learn about IT tools that support digital transformation and automation in companies.
• To learn about modern performance management, operational management automation and visualisation building teams working in a hybrid environment.
• To organise knowledge on the sequencing of change/automation implementation in service areas and identify key success factors.

Methodology

The simulation, which is carried out during the workshop, is based on an example of a near-real operational process carried out by a team in a service centre (SSC). An additional added value is that participants will be able to ‘get into the shoes’ of both the managers and those performing the process tasks.

Training programme

1. Energy diamond for change – preparing the foundations for appropriate change communication
How do we measure how much change is necessary?
How do we measure how prepared we are to effectively implement change?
• Managerial Market Tension Meter
• Measuring the Natural Potential for Optimisation
• Employee Frustration Level Meter
• Readiness to Decide on Readiness to Implement Optimisation/Automation Strategy
• Degree of Capability to Execute Optimisation/Automation Strategy

2. Practical exploration of the optimal change implementation strategy on a simulation basis.
Throughout the steps of the simulation, you will discover and put into action tools and principles that enable productivity growth. The simulation involves working on improvements and automation, as well as building employee engagement.
Successive rounds are interspersed with workshop modules providing knowledge and inspiration along with implementation examples.

The course of a strategic simulation game:

Round 1: See and measure in order to change.
Using IT tools to measure and visualise processes.

Round 2: Start with low-hanging apples.
Take advantage of simple streamlining and automation opportunities.

Round 3: Stop walking – start driving.
Digital office and the automation of operational management, work levelling and optimal use of team potential.

Round 4: ROIbotisation or how to ‘earn’ further development.
Harnessing the unique competencies of employees and the robotic Perfectionist Team Assistant (PAZ) in action. Key success factors for implementing automation.

3. Prepare a plan/strategy for implementing automation and building a culture of employee engagement based on best practice.
You will leave the workshop with practical knowledge and a plan (materials in pdf).

Opinions about the workshop

„The workshop gives a very interesting look at change and at transformation, automation, but in the context of business decisions, in the context of the decisions of a company that thinks about the overall business process. This formula seems to be a very successful approach to look at change as a whole – not forgetting any and not missing any important piece of the whole puzzle needed for change and a very practical approach to show what the change really is, what it brings with it and what to pay attention to.”

Janusz Dziurzyński – President ABSL

„ Digital Transformation Acceleration is a condensed portion of practical knowledge on how to start changing SSCs here and now. This workshop gives the head of an SSC the chance to experience how the sum of small changes in the daily behaviour of individual employees can completely change the optics of the perception of process efficiency in an SSC. Stop relying on opinions, start making decisions based on facts.’

Sebastian Schyck – SSC Head

„The Digital Transformation Acceleration workshop was a valuable source of inspiration for us to identify and implement Back Office process improvements. I would recommend it to anyone for whom increasing business volume or cost pressures are challenges.”

Piotr Kaźmierczak – CFO Ambra

“The workshop methodology is groundbreaking because it allows you to experience the effects of robotic transformation in practice, strengthens teamwork skills and engages you in the change process. At the same time, it teaches how to organise such a project, what tools to use, and embed it in the context of the company.”

Jacek Stryczyński – Chairman of the group Smart Automation/RPA w ABSL Warszawa
CEO Space Intelligence Lab

„The Digital Transformation Acceleration workshop is an inspiring experience that provides a simple and engaging way for participants to understand whether they are ready for the digital revolution and what they need to do to make their transformation as effective as possible. During the workshop, there is time for reflection and discussion with other participants about the challenges and how to overcome them. I would sincerely recommend the workshop to those just considering automation, robotics and lean, but also to experienced ones who are already running such initiatives and are looking for fresh new insights.”

Jakub Staryga
Lean Transformation Architect
Europe Assistance, Central & Eastern Europe

„ An enormous value. Experiencing this for ourselves shows us what to pay attention to and nothing more needs to be added. What I have experienced, is that if we are planning a change like automation in our organisation, people are still the key in all of this, and you have to plan this change in such a way that people find themselves positively, that they see it as an opportunity for themselves to improve their working conditions, not as a threat. That’s the value, from the perspective of seeing what that might look like and imagining how to plan such a process.”
